Official Contest Rules – “Voyage of the Chrononought” Design Contest
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
OVERVIEW
Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC. will be conducting a contest for our airship or time-travelling vessel design to be used on the blog, Chrononought.com.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the contest, you must be 18 years of age or older or have signed consent from a parent or guardian. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
TO ENTER
The designs must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, December 31, 2009 to logos@chrononautmercantile.com. Submissions received after 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, December 31, 2009 will not be considered.
The design must include an airship or time-travelling vessel. It must be your original work.
File format: Your submission MUST be a .JPG
Image size: Your submissions should be a minimum of 800 pixels wide, 300dpi.
SELECTION OF WINNER
Heather Kahn and Jeff Witkavitch will select their preferred artwork to be used for the Chrononought.com blog and to become the property of Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC. Credit for the design with a link to the artist will remain on the Chrononought.com blog site.
PRIZES
The top entries with links to the artists will be posted on the Chrononought.com blog, and the 1st prize winner will receive a $200 gift certificate to Chrononaut Mercantile. The 2nd prize winner will receive a $75 gift certificate to Chrononaut Mercantile. The 3rd prize winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Chrononaut Mercantile. All gift certificates awarded are redeemable for merchandise from Chrononaut Mercantile only. Any submission of artwork grants Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC the right to post the artwork on the Chrononought.com blog as a contest entry. Any and all applicable taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
By participating in the contest, participants agree to be bound by these rules and to any and all subsequent changes and decisions of Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC, which are final, binding and conclusive in all matters.
Contestants must abide by the Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC Terms of Use. All design submissions must be fully designed by the person submitting them solely for the purposes of this competition.
By participating in the contest and redeeming a prize, participants acknowledge and agree to irrevocably and unconditionally transfer and assign to Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC all rights to all designs and information submitted during the contest, and agree to execute and deliver such documents, certificates, assignments and other writings, and take such other actions as may be necessary or desirable to vest in Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC the ownership rights granted to Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC hereunder. For any submissions that Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC gains ownership of, Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC retains the right to change the designs to better fit with the overall look and feel of the designs end use. All participants who submit designs as part of this contest agree to grant Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC a perpetual, non-expiring, royalty-free license to display the submissions on the Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC website.
By participating in the contest, participants release and agree to hold harmless Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, sponsors, and prize suppliers, and all of their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents, from and against any and all liability for any loss, property damage or damage to person, including without limitation, death and injury, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from or arising out of participation in the contest, or participation in any contest-related activity, or the receipt, use or misuse of the prize. Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC specifically disclaims all liability associated with, and makes no warranties with regard to, any prize given.
Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to revoke any and all privileges associated with competing in the contest, and to take any other action it deems appropriate, for no reason or any reason whatsoever, including if Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC suspects competitors of cheating, tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Web site, or the contest process, or otherwise being in violation of the rules. Chrononaut Mercantile, LLC reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
OTHER
